For the Teabag in All of Us

Not that kind of teabag. Don't be gross.

If I go about this properly, the blog will (eventually) explain enough about me, so let me just explain the blog, or at least the title of it, here:

Au revoir, farewell...

Not for good. Just for vacation. I've been a crap blogger recently anyway, with all that's been going on. So maybe you won't even miss me. But somehow, as I'm lounging on the white sand beaches of Mexico, with a pina colada in one hand and a good book in the other, I think I will not mind so much if you don't miss me.

Of course, with all the drama of the travel agency, it could turn out to be the vacation from hell. But I am so desperately in need of a holiday that I think I'll take my chances.

Also, I think I have to give away my little cat. She's SO damn cute but she is making me all wheezy and stuffynosed and itchyeyed. I'm really torn up about this because I am so in love with her little wet nose and the way she waves her paw at me when she wants attention and her weird head-butting habit. So cute.

Anyway, it's been a loooooooong week, and I have at least a dozen errands to run in the morning before fleeing to the airport. I will try to be a better blogger upon my return from vacation wonderland.

And the reminder public service announcement? NEVER, EVER do business with mxresorts.com or travelcomm.net. They SUCK ASS.

Right. Off to bed with me, then.

Yaay...Butt in Mexico...wow I wonder if you'll run into lobster boy, still asleep on the white sands of Cancun. Scary thought! He'd be little more than ashes at this point.

I so very much wish I could be there. It will be a ton of fun and a chance to see people I have not seen in a while and to meet Sara, who sounds like a lovely person.

Alas, timing and all made it impossible. But I will be there in thought. Enjoy...have a blast and be safe. And take loads of pics :)

Listen. Cats. Are. Bad. Very. Bad. They're dangerous to your health. I swear. I'm so allergic to them--and it sounds as though you are too. Take care of yourself.

Keep blogging---BUT---HAVE FUN on your trip! We'll be here when you get back!

Ok so I think I'm still too lazy to write a new blog post... instead I will just answer comments.

Cas -- we were good girls, for the most part. Nothing much to tell. We snorkeled. There were big fish. We got tan.

Butt -- Alas, I searched for lobster boy but he was nowhere to be found. I think I enabled you for photos (meagre at that, but still, photos are photos) on snapfish. If I forgot, buzz me and I will make it happen.

Elle -- Too late! I gave her back. My friend Diane loves her and she can make a better home for her just now. At least I can still visit.

Cress -- Welcome, fellow Harry Potter fan! -s- ... I will blog more soon, I'm just being lazy at the mo.

Deb -- I had a drink for you and Madelene and Nat and Sass and Elle and keep on naming folks ... and then some! And yet, we didn't get drunk even ONCE until Friday, when we met this lovely little English couple on the beach who were similarly tired of never getting buzzed so they bought bottles of Bacardi and Diet Coke and we shared and yapped and had a fantastic drunken time! I think the all-inclusive places water their spirits down BIG TIME.

Anon -- if you say so, dude. I think you missed my point, anyway. Mexico is lovely, was my 2d time to Cancun and it was great. But that doesn't change the fact that I had a very bad experience with the travel agents. They are the ones I have a problem with -- not Mexico, not the hotel staff (who were lovely), not the fellow tourists.

Sass -- I'm back already but thanks! Also yeah I dunno what happened to my Recent Comments. It's definitely broken but you know I have no idea how to fix it. I will bug you for advice anytime, though!

And I promise, if the length of this "comment" is any indication, I will blog again. Even my non-bloggy, non-commenting friends (hullo Ian!) are commenting on the fact that I've not updated! Now that's embarrassing.

JMai: if you look under recent comments there's a little 'blogger hacks' thingy. click on that and it takes you to a page. click on 'farrago recent comments hack' in the sidebar and follow the instructions for the comment timestamp.

super easy i promise... the rest is done, just do that :)
